While at North Beach, however, Justin discovers there’s more to his father’s past than he’s been told - details that may completely destroy their relationship rather than salvage it. Award-winning Canadian actor Eric Schweig is known for his portrayal of Uncas in Michael Mann's The Last of the Mohicans, as Injun Joe in Disney's Tom and Huck and, as Chiden, a psychopathic killer with mystical powers in Ron Howard's chilling western The Missing.
In June 2008, Eric was the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Education from Nippissing University in Ontario. In addition to his role as an actor and motivational speaker, Eric divides his time between his two artistic loves: music and carving and his dedicated work with the homeless in an outreach and resource capacity.
Eric's acting resume includes a long list of credits, awards and nominations for his work in film and television that includes HBO's Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Lifetime Television's Not Like Everyone Else, TNT's Into the West, Walt Disney's Squanto: A Warrior's Tale, Chris Eyre's Smoke Signals, and Paramount's Pontiac Moon, to name a few. A true triple threat, Karen Holness is thrilled to be honing her acting skills in the television series Cashing In. After attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts she began performing in musicals and toured nationally. She performed in several musicals, including Rent; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Donnie Osmond,; and in the Gershwin musical Crazy For You.
Karen's most recent accomplishment is landing a recurring role on the hit series Fringe produced by J. J. Abrams. She kicked up her heels as a featured dancer in the Oscar-winning film Chicago, appeared in A&E’s number one rated Flight 93 and also plays a supporting role in the thriller Tortured. In addition, Karen can be seen with the Mowry Twins in the Disney Channel’s television movie Twitches and Twitches Too. Karen also played the role of Mrs. Dolittle in 20th Century Fox’s Dr. Doolittle 4 – Top Dog and Dr. Doolittle 5 – Going Hollywood.
Karen’s other television credits, recurring and supporting roles, include Showtime’s Out of Time and Out of Order, Trust, Fighting the Odds, Swarm and Riverworld, to name a few. Guest star appearances include Smallville, Exes and Ohs, Saved, Twilight Zone, Dead Zone, and Frances Ford Coppola’s Firstwave. Karen recently guest starred as Gordina, the head of human resources, in the TV Series JPOD, written and co-produced by world-renowned novelist Douglas Coupland
When she’s not on set or in the theatre, Karen can be seen performing with her two bands Jazz, Baby, a jazz quintet with a sound reminiscent of the 1920s, and Boogie Fever, a disco/funk band.

For starters, he doesn’t want the casino and the development that comes with it to "poison" his community. Good thing he owns the land needed to expand North Beach and is sweeping Liz Mckendra, the slick exec sent to secure a sale, off her Jimmy Choo stilettos. Hell, even Matthew’s own son Justin wants to be just like John when he grows up.
John Eagle and Matthew Tommy go back farther than either cares to remember, yet both are stubbornly reluctant to forget. They’ve butted heads over power, land and women before and now that Matthew is back in John’s territory, they’re destined to do it again. With Justin’s respect, Liz’s love, and the integrity and culture of the land at stake, the conflict between Matthew and John is as ferocious as ever.

Glen Gould is a Mi’kmaq actor/ director/ musician from Membertou First Nation near Sydney, Nova Scotia on Unama’ki’k (aka Cape Breton Island). Some notable television appearances include North of 60, First Wave, So Weird, Dark Angel, The Relic Hunter, The Chris Isaak Show, and The 4400. Recurring roles include DaVinci’s City Hall, and DaVinci’s Inquest, which earned a nomination for Best Performance by a Supporting Male in a Dramatic Series at the 2003 Leo Awards in Vancouver.
Glen has appeared in such films as Louis LaMour’s Crossfire Trail, Lola, Yellowknife, the BBC docu-drama Monsters We Met, and The Reawakening, which garnered a nomination for Best Supporting Male in a Feature Film at the 2004 American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco. Glen was in the CTV movies One Dead Indian, and Elijah in which he played the role of Phil Fontaine. He can also be seen in Jeff Barnaby’s short film The Colony; feature film Older Than America and the mini-series Rough, shot in Churchill, Manitoba. Glen can also be heard as the voice of Bill Tukyuk on the award-winning animated series Yvon of The Yukon.
In addition to his work in film, television and theatre, Glen has also embarked on a career as a musician, sharing stages with musicians such as Roy Forbes, Veda Hille, Rae Spoon, George Leach, Red Bone, Wayne Lavallee, Sandy Scofield, and many others. His future plans include the release of his debut CD Lone Warrior.

Wesley French was born and raised on Chippewas of Thames First Nation, a reservation in southwestern Ontario. Wesley’s first taste of Acting was in his High School's production of You Can't Take it With You. He enjoyed it so much he decided to pursue acting and attend Ryerson Theatre School where he graduated in 2001
Since then, Wesley has appeared in several commercials, and episodes of Relic Hunter and Mutant X. His film credits include Skinwalkers, Shania, We Shall Remain: Trail of Tears and Kissed By Lightening.

Tina Keeper began her involvement in theatre as a set and costume designer. She went onto study acting at the Centre for Indigenous Theatre and got her BA theatre prior to her role in CBC’s North of 60. Tina won various awards for her role of ‘Michelle Kenidi’ including a Dreamcatcher award, 2 American Indian Film Festival awards and a Gemini for best actress in a continuing leading role. Tina has done numerous theatre and film projects as an actor and continued study at the Sundance Film Institute and the Banff Centre.

Sarah Podemski is an Ojibway/ Israeli actress born and raised in Toronto. At age nine, she began training at Claude Watson School for the Performing Arts, where she studied dance, music, and theatre. Her professional career began at age 13, guest starring in Goosebumps and later starring in the German series Blue Hawk.
As a young woman, Sarah’s roles grew more diverse, playing a teen-mother in Showcase’s Moccasin Flats, spying on the government in CBC’s The Border, flirting with college boys in Comedy Network’s House Party, and scheming her way to the top in the APTN casino comedy Cashing In. Sarah has recounted history in the Charles Manson biopic The Family, and played a broken-hearted zombie girl in the short film, Love Letters From an Open Grave.

Gregory Dominic Odjig is an Odawa film actor from Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve in Ontario. He was cited as one of Wiky's most beautiful men in 2007 by the Unceded celebrity magazine Wiky News, where his off-screen life is widely reported. Gregory has received an Achievement Award, an Eagle feather, and The Wikwemikong Wrestling Championship title.
Gregory made his acting debut as a child alongside his friend Crystal Shawanda in the 1991 play Thunder Bird Children. His acting career began in earnest nearly a decade later with the low-budget production Blood River in 1999. His first leading role in a major film was Hotel Babylon in 2002.
Television projects include the critically acclaimed television series Exhibit A: Secrets of Forensic Science in 2000, and The Seventh Generation in 2001.Gregory achieved international recognition in 2007 as a result of his portrayal of the teenage version of Cree political hero Elijah Harper in the movie Elijah. His biggest commercial successes to date came in 2008, with the action drama series The Border, Warehouse 13 in 2009, the short film Kwaandawaagan-Youraa 2 and The Wild Girl.

John B. Lowe is a Canadian actor, director, teacher and writer. He has been seen in many feature films and television movies such as The Haunting In Connecticut, The Hessen Affair, Fido and The Butterfly Effect with lead roles in Disney’s The Ultimate Christmas Present, and Trapped for the USA Network.
John is a regular in the television series Cashing In, and was a recurring character in the CBC TV series Nothing Too Good For A Cowboy. John has made many guest appearances on television shows such as Millennium, X-Files, First Wave, The Immortal, Beggars and Choosers, The New Addams Family, Cold Squad, and others.
John has produced, written and directed several short film and video projects including the award-winning short film Windows of White, and produced and wrote Art Ephemeral. He is currently developing several film projects for Broccolo Creative.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Nancy Sorel received a degree in Theatre and Film from the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst. After graduation she went to New York City and began her acting career starring in Off Broadway plays, commercials, and the role of Coco on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live. Shortly thereafter, Nancy relocated to Los Angeles to star in the NBC daytime series Generations. She has guest-starred in numerous prime time shows, MOW’s and pilots including Beverly Hill 90210, Doogie Howser, Murder She Wrote, Empty Nest, X- Files andThe Outerlimits. For two years, Nancy played the role of Sammy on Fox’s sitcom Down The Shore
After shooting a pilot for ABC in Vancouver she met her Vancouver agent and eventually called Canada her new home. Series such as Hope Island, Beggars and Choosers, Seven Days, First Wave, The Twilight Zone, Stargate SG-I, Tru Calling, and The 4400 kept her acting career in full swing.
In Vancouver Nancy met and married her husband, manufacturer and actor, Paul Magel. Their two children came along shortly after, and they relocated to Winnipeg where her husbands’ family is located. As fate would have it, Less Than Kind was in the process of casting when she moved to Winnipeg, followed by the series Cashing In. She and her family now divide their time between Winnipeg and Vancouver. Contrary to The Weakerthans, she “Loves Winnipeg”!

Kyle Nobess is an actor born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a child, Kyle would entertain his family with a song and dance anytime he could. After high school Kyle went on to train for film and television by taking a weekly film class. There he was able to explore his craft and develop his acting skills. After a couple of years of training he sent his headshot and resume to the local casting director and began auditioning for smaller roles. After numerous auditions he finally landed a couple one-liner roles that started to build his resume.
The biggest role to date for Kyle is playing the principal character Barry on Cashing In. That has been an acting school in itself for Kyle, and he has grown stronger as an actor because of it. Kyle is also currently an on-air entertainment host for APTN where he has the pleasure of working with talented producers and wonderful people on a weekly basis. Kyle plans on moving to Vancouver to further his acting career and is excited to take the next step in his passionate career of acting.

Akalu Meekis is a young Native from Sandy Lake First Nation, Ontario. Born in Winnipeg, Akalu was introduced to acting when he landed a small role in the 2003 film Stryker. After a few more small roles in The Stone Angel, Elijah, and the indie film Billy, he began to take acting more seriously, and landed his first principal role in the Gary Yates-directed Eye of the Beast, with James Van Der Beek. Cashing In is Akalu’s biggest role to date.
Akalu is also an aspiring martial artist, focusing on shotokan karate and Brazilian jiujitsu. He is currently in university pursuing a degree in physical education, where he hopes to someday take the knowledge gained from his studies and apply them to teaching karate.

Stephen Eric McIntyre is an actor/writer/improviser born in Regina, raised in Winnipeg, and happily spending altogether too much time in Toronto. He recently wrapped his role as Steve in director Ed Gass-Donelly's indie feature Small Town Murder Scenes playing opposite Jill Hennessey and Peter Stormare. Before that, Stephen wrapped a short film The Innate for director Stephan Recksiedler, and reprised his role as Eddie, the nasty casino manager in APTN's Cashing In. Stephen's other television roles include Uzzie in Less Than Kind for Citytv, Mook on Falcon Beach for Global/ ABC Family, and about a dozen different cowboys on Lonesome Dove-The Series (Seasons 1, 2 & 3). Stephen received rave reviews for his first feature film role in Gary Yates’ High Life, in which he plays the character Bug, a morphine addict freshly released from prison.
When the cameras are not rolling, Stephen performs a one-man improv comedy show, which he also voluntarily offers to communities with at-risk-youth. Stephen’s writing credits include the plays Mind of the Iguana, Sommeil Entre Coupe, Easter Eggs, Etienne, Will Tell Time For Food, Treehouses, Bothered, So Far From Eden, and the screenplay And Then Come Back To Me.

Kate continues to provide a strong and positive voice for teens today, frequently speaking out on a variety of important issues, such as self-esteem, respect and individuality. Career highlights for Jenny so far include A Family Lost, directed by Jon Fasano for the USA network; Toronto Film Festival entry Re-Order by acclaimed Winnipeg director Sean Garrity; ABC/ Global television series Falcon Beach; and the made-for-television disaster movie Category 7, directed by Dick Lowry.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Jenny competed internationally in rhythmic gymnastics for the Canadian National Team. She participated in the drama program in high school, and at the age of 16 did her first television commercial for Manitoba Public Insurance. Since then, Jenny has lived and studied in Vancouver and Toronto, and currently calls Winnipeg home.

Tracey Nepinak began acting at Spirit Song Theatre Collective in Vancouver, BC in the mid 80’s. She continued her training at the University of Winnipeg, completing a BA (Hons) Theatre in 1993. Tracey premiered the role of Rachel in Ian Ross’ Governor Award winning play Farewel and most recently joined castmate Tantoo Cardinal in a premier performance of Tomson Highway’s Ernestine Shuswap Gets Her Trout.

Stephen Huszar began his acting career in 2004 when he landed his first lead role in a feature film shot in his hometown. He now lives in Vancouver where he focuses his energy on acting. His film & TV credits include: Sony Picture's 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, CW’s Smallville, CTV’s Corner Gas, Lifetime’s 12 Men of Christmas and Northern Lights, and here! TV’s, Paradise Falls. Selected upcoming 2011 appearances include the feature film, Faces in the Crowd, Hallmark's Time After Time and APTN’s Cashing In where he plays “Brody”, a recurring character on season 3 of the show.

Dog is trying his best to stay away from a past which may pull him back when he sees the ‘legendary’ Matthew Tommy needs assistance in a crisis which may blow open all of their pasts.

Gabriel Daniels has been involved in the film and television industry since 1994. He has worked as an actor since 1993 when he made his debut at the Citadel Theatre in Heat Lighting and, shortly thereafter, in television in CBC’s Frost Fire. Recently, Gabriel played ‘Isaiah’ in the CBC radio drama The Crisis in Oka, Manitoba and ‘Blanko’ in the feature film Goon. He has, also, worked in production in various other capacities; on crew, editing, producing and directing.

Actor Bio
We were privileged to have guest star, Gordon Tootoosis, join us in season 3. He was born on the Poundmaker Indian Reserve in Saskatchewan, Canada. He made his film debut in 1972 in Alien Thunder, with Donald Sutherland. He appeared in many film, television and theatre productions. A few of his film credits include: The HBO Feature Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, the Dreamworks/TNT mini-series Into The West, and Nobody's Baby, The Doe Boy, Legends of the Fall, Alaska, Lone Star, and Black Robe. Some of his television credits include Big Bear (as Big Bear), the hit series North of 60, Shoebox Zoo, Moccasin Flats, and Smallville. Gordon is also the voice of Gordy in the Sony Pictures box office smash hit Open Season.
